Upgrade of the fire alarm system for a building that consists of residential and academic area’s for young students.  The site team had to carefully coordinate each day with the client to ensure minimal disruption on site.  The Gent by Honeywell system contained a number of devices that were beyond the recommended lifespan.  In order to provide a cost effective solution, TriMan used the Vig InSight tool and conducted a detailed system health-check– this process allowed us to date each and every smoke device ensuring that we were only upgrading the devices that were necessary.  The 7 week programme was adhered to and included other software changes and radio links as required by the client.
